James and Alexis, once deeply in love, are now growing apart. Searching for a solution, James consults the I Ching, an ancient system of Chinese divination. But it predicts there is no way to save the relationship. James, however, refuses to accept this fate. The Marrying Maiden is a story of free will, destiny, and the mystery of the human mind.
